Mandatory Water Conservation Program

The Board of Water Commissioners voted on March 16th, 2021 to institute a Mandatory Odd/Even Water Conservation Program for this upcoming summer. We ask that every customer make the effort to comply with the Water Conservation Program.

The Mandatory Water Conservation Program runs from May 1st through October 1st and has been specially designed to provide our customers with the convenience of both morning and evening hours.

Watering on Mondays is strictly prohibited.

Watering during the middle of the day will harm your lawn and has the greatest potential for evaporation.

How to comply with an Odd/Even Water Conservation Program:

If your home has an odd numbered address, then you may use your outside water spigots and sprinklers for watering the grass, shrubs, plants and gardens on odd numbered calendar days, between the hours of 12:00 a.m. (midnight) to 9:00 a.m. and from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

If your home has an even numbered address, then you may use your outside water spigots and sprinklers for watering the grass, shrubs, plants and gardens on even numbered calendar days, between the hours of 12:00 a.m. (midnight) to 9:00 a.m. and from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

It is our hope that the evening hours provided will continue to be conservatively used and that our overall water consumption on both a daily and an annual basis will remain consistent.

In addition, all irrigation systems must be retrofitted with a moisture sensor. Moisture sensors will automatically shut-down your irrigation system if it is raining or if no additional water is required for your lawn.
